Hello all!
I have new and exciting opportunities available! Active opportunities are black, while inactive opportunities are grey.
I am currently looking for two group of individuals willing to participate in free themed photoshoots.
The first themed photoshoot is “Holiday”. Here’s what I need:
The aim for this photoshoot is to create an image of the various figures around a boiling caldron or fire. Although masked, body language should suggest surprise and even embarrassment that all of these characters are meeting at the same time! The final result may be published on the cover of a Christian magazine. If you would be willing to help, please contact me immediately!
The second themed photoshoot is “Going through the Motions”. Here’s what I need:
The aim for this photoshoot is to tell a story. Starting with the depression and sadness of just getting by, moving toward perseverance and preservation, on to a revelation or epiphany, and finally to success, joy, zeal, and confidence in “giving all you’ve got” to something. The final result may be included in a PowerPoint presentation with an initial audience of 700+ with potential viewing audiences numbering in the thousands. If you would be willing to help, please contact me immediately!
Thank you all for your interest in WSP! I hope to be hearing from you soon regarding these wonderful opportunities!
I’m proud to say that my photography has been featured on the cover of Vertical Thought magazine. I just received my copy yesterday and am truly in awe with the magnitude of the opportunity.
If you’ve been following the blog, you’ll notice that I’ve published several other entries tracing the genesis of the opportunity and how it came to be.
Thank you all for your support! Thank you to the VT staff!
I had another opportunity today to communicate with the Vertical Thought staff and see the proof for the issue.
Despite VT having chosen one of my least favorite images from the set I submitted, I have to admit that I am incredibly pleased with the turnout of the magazine cover.
Taking the right cover image was a different task than I am used to. With portrait and wedding photographer, most of the time, the subject is the main focus (no pun intended) and fills much of the frame. In photographing images for the cover of a magazine, I found myself constantly checking and rechecking the photos to make sure there was enough room for the image and text to coincide.
Once again, I’d like to thank VT for the opportunity as well as thank everyone for their support! I’d also like to throw a special thank you out to Shaun, the designer for VT, who did a phenomenal job on the arrangement of the VT cover.

VT staff and I have been communicating and today the initial image selection has been approved. I’ve sent the full resolution image and the designer will start arranging the cover!
This is an exciting process and I am thankful for the opportunity. Thanks VT!

Today I was contacted with a unique opportunity: producing an image for the cover of Vertical Thought magazine.
I’ve not yet been told what I’m supposed to photograph, but I look forward to it!
