I had another opportunity today to communicate with the Vertical Thought staff and see the proof for the issue.
Despite VT having chosen one of my least favorite images from the set I submitted, I have to admit that I am incredibly pleased with the turnout of the magazine cover.
Taking the right cover image was a different task than I am used to. With portrait and wedding photographer, most of the time, the subject is the main focus (no pun intended) and fills much of the frame. In photographing images for the cover of a magazine, I found myself constantly checking and rechecking the photos to make sure there was enough room for the image and text to coincide.
Once again, I’d like to thank VT for the opportunity as well as thank everyone for their support! I’d also like to throw a special thank you out to Shaun, the designer for VT, who did a phenomenal job on the arrangement of the VT cover.
