Congratulations on your Eagle Scout Award!

Congratulations to my friend and now fellow Eagle, David!

I had the opportunity to photograph David’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

David now joins the rank of Eagle Scout, an award achieved by less than 2% of Scouts.

Congratulations David!

Congrats, David!

Congratulations on your Graduation!

Congratulations to the Class of 2011, specifically my friend Andrew!

Andrew was offered the typical and generic package from the third party that the university uses to accomplish such things. Put plainly, he wasn’t satisfied with what they had. He contacted me and we built a graduation package for him including custom designed Graduation Annoucnements and Thank You Cards, envelopes, and outdoor and studio portraits.

Andrew receieved personalized attention and paid no more!

Once again, Congratulations Andrew!

Congratulations Andrew!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Mel and Jeremy on their 1-year wedding anniversary!

happy 1 year anniversary!

Unable to do an Engagement Portraits session prior to marriage but wanting similarly styled images, Mel and Jeremy asked me what I could do for them. Having not seen such a package offered elsewhere, I crafted the “Anniversary Portraits” session.

Vertical Thought Magazine Cover

I’m proud to say that my photography has been featured on the cover of Vertical Thought magazine. I just received my copy yesterday and am truly in awe with the magnitude of the opportunity.

If you’ve been following the blog, you’ll notice that I’ve published several other entries tracing the genesis of the opportunity and how it came to be.

Thank you all for your support! Thank you to the VT staff!

Vertical Thought Magazine Correspondence

I had another opportunity today to communicate with the Vertical Thought staff and see the proof for the issue.

Despite VT having chosen one of my least favorite images from the set I submitted, I have to admit that I am incredibly pleased with the turnout of the magazine cover.

Taking the right cover image was a different task than I am used to. With portrait and wedding photographer, most of the time, the subject is the main focus (no pun intended) and fills much of the frame. In photographing images for the cover of a magazine, I found myself constantly checking and rechecking the photos to make sure there was enough room for the image and text to coincide.

Once again, I’d like to thank VT for the opportunity as well as thank everyone for their support! I’d also like to throw a special thank you out to Shaun, the designer for VT, who did a phenomenal job on the arrangement of the VT cover.

VT staff and I have been communicating and today the initial image selection has been approved. I’ve sent the full resolution image and the designer will start arranging the cover!

This is an exciting process and I am thankful for the opportunity. Thanks VT!
